WURTSBORO – State Police are investigating a domestic incident that turned into a stabbing in Wurtsboro early Monday. A source at the scene of the 2 a.m. assault said one individual was stabbed in the chest, rushed to Ellenville Regional Hospital, and later airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for emergency surgery.
The alleged assailant is believed to have been apprehended while driving on Route 17 eastbound in Orange County.
The only sign of any police activity during the day on Monday was a marked State Police car parked in the driveway next to the house at 51 Marc Lane.
A neighbor told Mid-Hudson News that she was awakened by flashing red lights, but was unaware as to what had happened.
She said the people residing in the white house had only been living there for a couple of months.
