HYDE PARK – Two men are in custody after police responded to a report of a home invasion on Lyons Drive in Hyde Park.  The caller reported the incident to 911 at 10:23 p.m. Tuesday night.

Deputies from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to the call and were assisted by police from Hyde Park, Town of Poughkeepsie, City of Poughkeepsie, including a K9 unit, New York State Police, and members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.

Police took 28-year-old Selburn Ridley Jr and 28-year-old Anthony Guillen, both residents of Poughkeepsie, into custody at the scene, and continued their investigation.

The occupants of the house were home at the time of the crime and were uninjured, according to the DCSO.

Both men were arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court and were remanded to Dutchess County Jail in lieu of  $100,000 cash bail or $500,000 bond.

Acting Sheriff Kirk Imperati credited the teamwork of the police agencies for making the quick arrests.  He also offered comfort to the community saying “I want to assure the public that this  was not a random act of violence.”
