ALBANY – State Senator James Skoufis (D, Cornwall) has filed petitions with the State Board of Elections to run for a third term in the November election. On Monday he submitted nearly 4,000 signatures – four times the required number – to run on the Democratic Party line. He also submitted more than double the number required to run on the Working Families Party line.
Prior to serving as a senator, Skoufis was a state assemblyman. He began his political career as a Woodbury town councilman.
