TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Police are investigating a possible kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl who was located Sunday afternoon.
A source has told Mid-Hudson News that the Town of Poughkeepsie Police responded to the Holiday Inn at 2170 South Road for a report of a teenage girl who had been kidnapped from Hyde Park and was being held against her will in one of the hotel rooms.
Police summoned an ambulance to the scene to evaluate the recovered teen.
The victim’s mother had responded to the hotel to accompany her daughter for the ambulance ride to MidHudson Regional Hospital, escorted by a town police officer.
As of 6 p.m. on Sunday, town police were investigating the potential crime scene at the hotel and additional officers were interviewing the victim at the hospital.
