STEWART AIRPORT – New discount airline Play will begin its European service to New York via New York Stewart International Airport at Newburgh on June 9.

Based in Iceland, the airline will fly to dozens of European cities connecting through its Icelandic facilities.

Although the immediate Stewart encatchment area has some three million people, the airline is promoting the service as a gateway to New York City while offering discount fares and easy access via the Hudson Valley facility.

Play is playing up its new service as “a novel approach” to reaching the Big Apple. “It’s a 75-minute bus ride from Time Square, but this small and comfy airport is situated in the southwest of the Hudson Valley, an upstate New York paradise.”

The airline also touted the many attractions the Hudson Valley has to offer tourists.

Service to European cities will dependent on the day of the week and can be reviewed at www.flyplay.com.
