Newburgh man arrested for possessing stolen gun

NEWBURGH – A Newburgh man has been arrested for illegally possessing a gun reported stolen from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Newburgh City Police were investigating an incident in the area of Gidney and North Robinson avenues shortly after 9 a.m. on Monday, March 28 when they spotted the suspect, identified as Miguel Cruz-Nava, 26, in the area of 245 Third Street.

Investigation resulted in the discovery of a Ruger semi-automatic pistol with nine bullets in his waistband.

Cruz-Nava was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon.
