SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties man has been indicted by an Ulster County grand jury on charges that he had sexually abused several children under the age of 13 on multiple occasions and photographed the abuse.
Benjamin Santiago, 27, was charged with one count each of predatory sexual assault against a child and criminal sexual act, two counts each of sexual abuse and unlawful surveillance, three counts of use of a child in a sexual performance, 19 counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child, and four counts of criminal contempt.
Santiago was charged following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center with assistance from Saugerties Police.
