STEWART AIRPORT – Frontier Airlines, which has been operating at New York Stewart International Airport for months, is now serving five cities from the Hudson Valley facility – three to Florida as well as Raleigh-Durham and Atlanta, the latter two starting in May. Add that to Allegiant Airways, which has been providing Florida service and seasonal Myrtle Beach flights for years.

Heather Bell Meyer, president of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, hopes more service will be added to benefit the business community.

“My wish list for our businesses and our film industry is that we have directs to Los Angeles and also to get Chicago back,” she said.

Chicago was the first city to fly from Stewart when commercial service began in April 1990.

Bell-Meyer would also like to see flights to Las Vegas for the convention business.
