Weapon seized from Varick Homes resident in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – A disturbance at the Varick Homes apartment complex in the City of Newburgh shortly after 6:30 a.m. Friday led to the arrest of a 49-year-old man for illegal possession of a .45 cal. Ruger semi-automatic handgun.

Toajack Brown’s arrest stemmed from a neighbor dispute.

Officers arrived and interacted with several individuals who were arguing and investigation led to Brown’s arrest on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and assault, both felonies.
