Pike County man sentenced to PA prison for retail theft, conspiracy

MILFORD, PA – A Matamoras, PA man has been sentenced in the Pike County Court of Common Pleas to two- to seven years in Pennsylvania state prison and fined $1,250 for three counts of retail theft and two counts of criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft.

Joseph Edwin Pearce, 35, took merchandise valued at $240 from a Westfall Township business on June 23, 2019, and sold it for $80 to a business in Matamoras.

He took merchandise worth $719 from a store in Westfall Township on November 19, 2019, without paying for it.

On January 1, 2020, he conspired with another person, taking $310 worth of goods from a store in Westfall Township.
