Man shot in leg in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – City Police in Newburgh are investigating the latest shooting incident, this one resulting in a 23-year-old Newburgh man being shot in the leg.

Police responded to 69 South Street for shots fired, following a Shot Spotter activation just before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8.

Officers were later directed to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital where the victim was located. He was admitted in stable condition, with non-life-threatening injuries.

City police are investigating this incident along with the Orange County Sheriff’s and District Attorney’s Offices.
