Disgruntled Kingston man threatens to blow up Ulster social services building

KINGSTON – A 47-year-old Kingston man has been charged with the felony of making a terroristic threat and a misdemeanor of aggravated harassment for talking to an Ulster County social services worker on the phone and making threats to blow up the building.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Evan Carelaw following the incident at about 11:30 a.m. on March 4.

Authorities said he made the threat after becoming upset while talking with the caseworker.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
