NEWBURGH – Service on the Newburgh-Beacon Ferry is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, March 9.

It has been suspended this winter because of the iced over Hudson River. Commuters were instead transported over the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge to catch their Metro-North Railroad trains in Beacon.

Those restarted ferry rides are expected to be dodging snowflakes as it is expected to snow all day.

Service on the Haverstraw-Ossining Ferry, which had also been suspended, was restarted late last month.
