LAGRANGE – A Saturday night fire that claimed the life of a woman and her dog is under investigation. LaGrange firefighters responded to multiple reports of a house fire at 11 Lakeview Drive at approximately 11:30 p.m.

Firefighters from several departments were on the scene of the fatal fire until approximately 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to LaGrange Fire Chief Tim O’Connor.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the LaGrange Fire Department and the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division. Fire investigators were at the scene all night, finally leaving at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
