“My Office is proud of our partnership with the State Police, the Village of Liberty Police, and all of our partners in law enforcement to combat the opioid epidemic from all angles – including by targeting distributors who profit from addiction. It is no secret that drug trafficking and the illegal possession of weapons often go hand in hand. I look forward to presenting the facts of this specific case in Court.”
The three-time convicted felon was remanded to the custody of the Sullivan County Jail without bail and will be prosecuted by the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office which has maintained the second-busiest trial calendar for felony prosecutions during the pandemic.
