Maher to run for State Assembly

WALDEN – Montgomery Town Supervisor Brian Maher will formally announce his intention to run for the 101st State Assembly District on Sunday.

Prior to serving as supervisor, he was mayor of the Village of Walden.

As a result of the new concluded redistricting, the 101st District includes the Orange County towns of Montgomery, Crawford, Hamptonburgh, Chester and Blooming Grove, a portion of the Town of Goshen, in Ulster County, the towns of Shawangunk, Wawarsing, Rochester, Denning and Hardenburgh, in Sullivan County the Town of Neversink, and extends into portions of the counties of Delaware, Hamden, Otsego, and Madison.
