TOWN OF NEWBURGH – An off-duty Town of Newburgh Police officer was killed on Friday in a snowmobile accident, Town Supervisor Gil Piaquadio told to Mid-Hudson News.
The death of Officer D.J. Romano was “very tragic,” the supervisor said.
The accident occured in the upstate Town of Webb.
The young officer leaves behind his wife Kate and two daughters, Adrianna, 2, and Alina, 1, according to his brother James Romano, who created a GoFundMe page in his brother’s memory.
