TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – A standoff on Channingville Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie is over as a man surrendered to police shortly after 8:30.
A neighbor told Mid-Hudson News he was awakened by six or seven gunshots around 4 a.m. and as police arrived, he heard yelling and another gunshot.
The Wappinger Central School District haD advised all students to stay in their homes and there will be no bus transportation this morning.
