PORT JERVIS – City firefighters in Port Jervis made a nice save of a fire in an apartment building at 156 Jersey Avenue early Tuesday saving six people inside.
Police are considering the blaze to be the work of an arsonist with an arrested expected.
The fire broke out after 1 a.m.
Police and fire investigators and the district attorney’s office were on the scene after sun up this morning looking for clue.
DA David Hoovler said they are looking into the case as an arson and attempted murder of six people.
