Man shot in Poughkeepsie, suspect in custody

POUGHKEEPSIE – City police have arrested a man on felony charges of weapons possession and reckless endangerment after a Saturday morning shooting.  A victim declined medical attention for his injury.

 

City of Poughkeepsie police responded to 120 Hudson Avenue at 9:22 a.m. for a report of shots fired.  According to the police, a subject at the scene, 35-year-old William Clark, was identified as the suspect in the incident and detained.

 

A potential victim was located in the area and reported that he sustained a graze wound, but refused medical assistance. Crime scene technicians and detectives investigated the scene and interviewed witnesses.

 

Clark was subsequently charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.  He was processed and held for arraignment.
