POUGHKEEPSIE – A Sunday morning fight in a residence has resulted in the arrest of two 23-year-olds on felony weapons charges. City of Poughkeepsie police announced the arrests on Monday.
On Sunday at 2:44 a.m., officers responded to 464 Main Street for a reported disturbance. When the officers arrived, they could hear the disturbance and made entry into the apartment.
Once inside, officers saw a loaded Walther .380 handgun in plain view. The two occupants were immediately detained and then transported to headquarters for further investigation.
As a result of the investigation, Tevahn Kendall was charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, and criminal mischief. The second suspect, Farrah Aquino was charged with the felony of criminal possession of a firearm and the misdemeanor of criminal possession of a weapon. Both subjects were processed at police headquarters.
