NEW ROCHELLE – A 16-year-old New Rochelle boy is under arrest, charged with shooting a 17-year-old to death on Tuesday afternoon.
New Rochelle Police were called to the former of 4th Street and Washington Avenue around 3:38 p.m. where they found the victim who had been shot several times. He was rushed to the hospital where he underwent surgery but died.
Suspect information was immediately developed and detectives were able to locate and arrest the youth near Glenn Place and Beechwood Avenue. He had a 9mm semi-automatic handgun on him.
Both youths are New Rochelle residents. Their names are being withheld because of their ages.
