Two Newburgh women charged with possession of false documents

A 38-year-old Monticello woman has been arrested for being in possession of multiple handguns on the campus of Liberty High School last week.

MIDDLETOWN – Two City of Newburgh women have been arrested by State Police on charges of falsifying business records, possession of forged documents, and offering a false instrument, all felonies.

State Police were contacted by the State Department of Motor Vehicles involving Gloria Paz Ponce, 29, and Eda Paz Ponce, 20, who presented fraudulent utility bills and fraudulent bank documents at the DMV office in Middletown, to obtain a New York State license.

Both were released on an appearance ticket pending a future court appearance.
