GLEN SPEY – Two brothers from Glenn Spey have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of a 74-year-old man.
State Police arrested Nick Carter, 26, and Jack Carter, 21, following an investigation into the death of a Glen Spey man who was reported missing on January 15.
On January 19, the body of Mark Eckert was located on his property.
The Carter brothers were located and arrested on the same day in New Jersey and are incarcerated awaiting extradition back to New York.
New York State Police were assisted by New Jersey State Police, Rockaway Township Police and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office.
Troopers provided no motive for the murder.
