First winter storm of new year on its way

Town of Wallkill DPW crews get their snowplow vehicles ready for the storm

MID-HUDSON -Snow, sleet and freezing rain have arrived in the region and are expected to continue overnight and into Monday.

Several inches of snow may accumulate depending upon where you are in the region.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Lower and Mid-Hudson Valley and a Winter Storm Warning for the Upper Hudson Valley.

Several municipalities have declared states of emergency and have banned overnight street parking.

Travel is expected to be dangerous, so take road conditions under consideration.
