FALLSBURG – A domestic incident in the Town of Fallsburg has turned into a murder case.
State Police said Joseph Detzauer, 37, is accused of strangling Marilyn Torres, 61, during an argument in a residence on Loch Sheldrake Road on January 9.
Police found Torres unconscious on the floor next to a bed. She was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead at 7 p.m. on January 11.
Detzauer has been charged with murder and was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
