WASHINGTON – Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D, NY-18) tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

The House member said he is experiencing “minor cold-like symptoms.” He credited his being fully vaccinated and boosted for protecting him from more severe illness.

The lawmaker said he is following the guidance of the attending physician and will isolate while recovering. “During that time I will continue to work remotely on behalf of the Hudson Valley,” he said.

Maloney urged anyone who has not been vaccinated and received a booster to do so. “It is the best thing we can do to protect ourselves and our communities.”
