New Year’s Day shooting in Newburgh

NEWBURGH – One person suffered two gunshot wounds on New Year’s Day in the City of Newburgh, according to emergency services radio transmissions.

The city’s Shot Spotter alert system detected seven shots fired that night.

The victim was treated at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.

No other information was immediately known.
