PINE BUSH – Tim Mains, the superintendent of the Pine Bush Central School District, has died suddenly on Thursday.

Mains lived in the Town of Wallkill. Police Chief Robert Hertman said they received a call for a medical emergency and despite the best efforts of EMS and police personnel, he passed away.

“He was a forward-thinking person,” Hertman said. “He will be missed.”

Mains came from the Jamestown Public Schools where he served as superintendent.

The Pine Bush School Board appointed him to his current post in January 2017.
