TOWN OF WALLKILL – A vehicle stop in the parking lot at 518 Route 17M on Saturday at 1:43 a.m. resulted in the seizure of drugs and cash along with the arrest of a 24-year-old Newark, NJ man.
According to Wallkill Police Lieutenant Robert McLymore, two officers performed the December 18 traffic stop, and after a brief investigation, they searched the operator and the vehicle. The search recovered 10 grams of cocaine and $5,555 in cash.
The operator, identified as Adonis Mercedes, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released an appearance ticket to return to court on January 5, 2022.
