ALBANY – There were 2,283 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths in the Hudson Valley/Catskills on Friday, the latest figures reported by the State Health Department. The deaths were in the counties of Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester.
“This is not like the beginning of the pandemic. We are prepared for the winter surge because we have the tools at our disposal,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “Getting vaccinated, getting the bo0oster and wearing a mask are critical to avoiding getting seriously ill from COVID-19, so don’t take a chance.”
