Threats of violence; Monticello, Fallsburg schools cancel in-school classes

In-school classes in the Monticello and Fallsburg central school districts are cancelled today as both districts are investigating threats of violence.

Police in both communities are investigating.

In Monticello, teaching is being conducted remotely with all employees working from home. There is no transportation to BOCES or other out-of-school placements. Any school activities scheduled for today are cancelled.

In Fallsburg, the school district is closed.
