HUDSON VALLEY – In anticipation of revelers celebrating the holiday spirit by drinking spirits during the New York City SantaCon, Metro-North has issued a temporary ban on alcohol on trains this weekend.

The Metro-North alcohol ban went into effect on Saturday, December 11 at 4 a.m. and goes through noon on Sunday, December 12.

MTA police officers will be on duty at Grand Central Terminal and stations throughout the Metro-North system, as well as on trains to enforce this restriction and ensure orderly travel.
