NEW ROCHELLE – Three men were arrested by New Rochelle Police after officers were tipped off to a large drug transaction about to go down in a vehicle and the suspects were armed with guns.
Detectives conducted surveillance and observed a vehicle fitting that description. Three men were inside.
The officers cautiously approached the vehicle and saw in plain view a 9mm Taurus handgun and an imitation-style pistol in the car.
The occupants complied with directions from the police and were removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest without incident.
Charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm as a felony and a misdemeanor of unlawful possession of a high capacity magazine were Arnaldo Rivera-Rodriguez, 29, and Raul Eduardo Rivera, 32, both of Camden, New Jersey, and Fidel Rodriguez-Reynoso, 36, of the Bronx.
The were arrested Saturday evening, December 4.
