Lyft driver sexually assaults customer at knifepoint

GREENBURGH – A 27-year-old Mount Vernon Lyft driver has been arrested and charged with felony sexual abuse for allegedly pulling a knife and sexually assaulting a customer while working in Greenburgh.

State Police arrested Manuel Nunez on Friday following a report of the attack the previous day.

It is alleged that Nunez picked up a party of four people for a scheduled transport and while driving, began displaying pornographic material on his cell phone in view of a child under the age of 17.

He also allegedly threatened the group with a knife and sexually assaulted one of the victims.

Nunez was also charged with unlawful imprisonment, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail, $100,000 secure bond, or $150,000 partially secured bond.
