CATSKILL – A 32-year-old Catskill woman has been indicted by a Greene County grand jury on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the stabbing death of a man in his apartment in the Village of Catskill.
It is alleged that Carrie Weisser stabbed Scott Myers, 68, in the neck with a knife at 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 27. The knife severed the victim’s carotid artery causing him to bleed to death in a short period of time.
If convicted of murder, Weiser faces up to life in prison.
The case was investigated by Catskill Police, State Police, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office.
