WASHINGTON – Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D, NY-18) and Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus announced on Wednesday that FEMA has authorized Individual Assistance for residents of Orange County who were affected by Hurricane Ida.

“After months of advocating directly to FEMA and working with Governor Hochul and Executive Neuhaus, I am thrilled to announce that Individual Assistance is on the way for Orange County residents” said Maloney. “I’ve seen first-hand the extensive damage Hurricane Ida did to folks across Orange County and this Individual Assistance will go a long way towards helping our communities get back on their feet.”

“Since Ida hit Orange County, I have advocated for individual assistance from FEMA for residents impacted by the storm and have worked closely with Congressman Maloney,” Neuhaus said.
