Shots fired, two in custody, in Rockland

PEARL RIVER – Two people are in custody following an early morning shooting incident on Saturday. At around 4:20 Orangetown Police responded to the area of 49 West Central Avenue in Pearl River for a report of shots fired.

Following an investigation, police recovered a gun and have two people in custody.

There were no reports of injuries.

The Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigation processed the scene.

The incident is under investigation by the Orangetown Police Detective Bureau.

Police said there is no danger to the public at this time. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the detective bureau at 845-359-3700.
