MIDDLETOWN – The Christmas season is officially here in the City of Middletown as the Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held on Friday night at the John Degnan Festival Square Park.
Hundreds turned out in the chilly late fall weather to cheer on the annual Christmas parade before the thousands of bright lights lit up the Christmas tree, which was donated by the Middletown school district; its previous home was on the grounds of the Twin Towers school.
