NORTH EAST – The Dutchess County Department of Public Works has announced work to replace a culvert on Smithfield Road (CR-5) near Silver Mountain Road and Cooper Road in the Town of North East is complete and the road reopened to traffic.
The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
Project work began in late summer and included removal and replacement of the existing concrete structure, as well as the addition of three-foot shoulders to the roadway to improve the safety of the area for motorists.
