POUGHKEEPSIE – The first ever Youth Community Cleanup Day in the City of Poughkeepsie brought out 150 young people to beautiful the streets.
Mayor Rob Rolison called the effort an “amazing day as the youth transformed the streets of Poughkeepsie.”
He gave “a big shoutout” to Our lady of Lourdes High School, Poughkeepsie High School basketball team, the CM2 team, Ramapo for Children and all the volunteers. “You are all true champions,” he said.
The mayor urged everyone to check out Main Street between Pershing Avenue and Cherry Street, White Street, Winnikee Avenue and Pershing Park.
