GREENBURGH – The election of Greenburgh Town Judge Christie D’Alessio to State Supreme Court this month has created a vacancy on the town bench effective January 1, 2022.

Under state law, the town board will appoint a town judge who will serve until the November 2022 election. There are three judges who serve on a part-time basis on the local bench.

Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said those interested in being considered for an interim appointment should email their biography and statement to townboard@greenburghny.com.

He said if the successful or unsuccessful candidates are interested in running for a full four-year term, they should reach out to their political party and advise that they would like to run for town judge in 2022.
