Man shot in latest Newburgh gunfire

NEWBURGH – A 27-year-old man is in stable condition in a hospital after being shot several times in the forearm and back in the latest gunfire in the City of Newburgh.

At around 6:12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, a ShotSpotter notification indicated 12 rounds were fired in the area of South Clark and Renwick streets.

Responding officers located a crime scene in the area of 172 Renwick.

A short time later, police were notified by a local hospital that a man had arrived at the emergency room with several gunshot wounds.

The incident is being investigated by city police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
