HYDE PARK – A Sunday evening incident in which a man threatened people with a knife and fought police in Hyde Park resulted in an officer deploying his taser to subdue the subject. The incident occurred at approximately 6:25 p.m. near the intersection of Cream Street and Crum Elbow Road.
Emergency radio transmissions included the officer requesting immediate backup assistance because the officer was involved in an altercation with the subject.
An updated report indicated that the subject had been subdued and EMS was requested to the scene to treat injuries sustained by the suspect that occurred while he was resisting arrest.
