Sheriff’s office seeks public assistance to solve crime

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau is investigating an incident involving the theft of sanding and plow equipment from Hudson River Truck and Trailer in the Town of Poughkeepsie.  The crime occurred on October 15 at approximately 7:45 p.m.
 

 According to Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Captain John Watterson, the unidentified perpetrator(s) stole a Western Snowplow model 810 Wideout Plow, three 9’6″ stainless steel V-plows manufactured by Western, and three stainless steel sanders.

A post on the company’s social media page says that several masked men were captured on security cameras during the crime.  The footage indicates that the suspects left the property at approximately 1:00 a.m. and traveled westbound on Route 55.  A black Jeep Grand Cherokee and a dark GMC crew cab truck with an equipment trailer were involved in the crime.
 

A picture of one of the subjects has been released and the DCSO is asking for assistance in identifying the man and locating the stolen equipment.  Anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 845-486-3820 or the DCSO TIP LINE at 845-605-CLUE(2583).
