SAUGERTIES – Town and Village officials in Saugerties are holding a public discussion on recently enacted marijuana laws in the state. The cannabis presentation, scheduled for early next week, will include presentations by interested parties and is designed to provide a better understanding of the meaning of sales, warehousing, growing, distribution, and consumption of cannabis in the town and village.
The community is invited to participate in the Monday, October 25 forum. Presentations from attorney David Holland of the New York City Cannabis Foundation, Town Supervisor Fred Costello, Village Mayor William Murphy, Police Chief Joseph Sinagra, cannabis educator Martha McDermott, and Ruben Lindo of Herbn Couture LLC, will begin at 7 p.m. at the Kiwanis Ice Arena. The arena is located at 6 Small World Avenue in the Village of Saugerties.
