GOSHEN – State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has announced his backing of Newburgh City Councilman Anthony Grice in his bid for Orange County Clerk.

Both men are Democrats.

DiNapoli called Grice “an experienced public servant who is committed to making government work better for everyone.” The comptroller said Grice would lead the county clerk’s office “with accountability and transparency.”

Grice will be running on the Democratic and Working Families Party lines.

Also running to replace the retiring Clark Annie Rabbitt, is her current deputy county clerk, Republican Kelly Eskew.
