CALLICOON – State Police don’t know why a garbage truck crashed into a house at Fremont Street and Railroad Avenue in Callicoon at 7 Monday morning.
The driver of the truck, Carmine Quagliariello, 56, of the Town of Liberty, was driving the truck when for unknown reasons, it was unable to stop and crashed into the house.
The homeowner was inside the residence at the time of the crash but was not injured. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit is investigating the incident.
