Man shot four times in latest Newburgh violence

NEWBURGH – A Newburgh man is reported in stable condition at a local hospital after being shot four times in the area of 17 City Terrace at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

Newburgh City Police said there may be more than one reported victim in the incident.

As police were trying to preserve the crime scene, a large crowd was present.

City police were assisted at the scene by the FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force. State Police. Town of Newburgh and New Windsor Police in keeping crowd control.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Newburgh City Police at 845-569-7509. Calls can remain confidential.

The investigation is ongoing and being handled by City of Newburgh Police, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
