PORT JERVIS – Joseph Pagano served as a Port Jervis city councilman for six years and as an Orange County legislator for 16.
Pagano, who lived in Milford, Pennsylvania in recent years, died at 90 years of age on October 7.
Mayor Kelly Decker remembers Pagano.
“Joe was a county legislator for many years especially when I was a kid, so I knew of Joe and then as I got into the political realm as I got older, I got to meet Joe and talk to him from time to time,” Decker said. He and his wife are really special people to the people of the City of Port Jervis.”
Pagano was a barber by trade and operated Joe’s Barber Shop in Port Jervis for over 60 years.
